It’s that time of the year when you bring out the skeletons from the closet, literally! With All Saints’ Eve
just a few days away, here’s how you can have some mid-week fun with a spooky
Halloween party.
DIY GHOSTHere’s a genius idea to create your resident ghost. Pull out your tiered coat stand and drape it with a
white cloth. Stick patches of black paper for eyes and a wailing mouth.
Place it in a strategic spot that
will guarantee a shriek from your guests!
CREEPY DÉCORSet the mood by doing up the décor in sync with the theme. Get your crafting skills in place by creating
paper monsters. Spiders, webs, bats…there’s a whole gamut of ominous creatures you can create to
lend that perfect air of fear.
FOURLEGGED MONSTERRope in your pet(s) and make them a party to the horror. Throw a white sheet over your dog or cat, with
holes cut out for their eyes and nose, and make your guests crawl up the wall!
ADD SOME GOREYou don’t have to be an artist to get hold of some watercolours. But do get some red paint and splash
splotches to recreate blood on the floor or walls. Use washable paint, of course! You can also get
creative and use red wine, jams, sauces, or any other such liquids as a substitute.
5 MUNCH ON THE FEARNo party is complete without the snacks and nibbles. Make the theme of horror complete with some
scary-looking cupcakes, finger-shaped sausages, and the like. Now, that’s some way to swallow down
that fear!
